| The Applanix DSS is a
turnkey digital aerial camera system designed to support direct
georeferencing aerial photogrammetric missions demanding
high-resolution and high geospatial positional accuracy. Designed
with cutting-edge technologies the DSS features the ability to collect
high-quality data for large and small-scale mapping projects.
Integrated Flight Management
System (FMS) that allows the aircraft to follow very precise
flight lines even in the roughest of conditions. Basestation GPS
receivers are utilized for processing the airborne GPS and IMU data.
The imagery is captured in 12-bit radiometric resolution.
The higher resolutions provides greater flexibility in data
acquistion and processing compared to 8-bit solutions. The
result is better color depth and maintain details normally
lost in shadows.

The result of using digital imagery versus
film is increased efficiency in the overall production
process as well as higher quality deliverables such as orthophotos.
The consistency of image capture avoids many of the limitiations
historically associated with film photography such as film processing,
film scratches, dust, and scanning requirements. |
